Accessibility
Our aim
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in both the light and the dark look.
We have not yet had it fully checked by hand, so we cannot yet say it fully meets that standard.
What you can do on this site
- Choose a light or dark look with the button at the top of every page. We remember your choice.
- Zoom to 400% without needing to scroll sideways. Tell us if any text is cut off.
- Use the site and our forms with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- Skip straight to the main content with the first link on each page.
- Take as long as you like. Nothing on the site is timed, and our forms save what you type, so you can come back to it in the same browser within 7 days.
- Read plain English. There are no puzzles to prove you are a person; at most, you may be asked to tick a box.
- Use your device's reduced-motion setting. The site respects it.
How we check
- Each change to the site's code is checked with automated accessibility tools. Our main pages are checked in the light look, the dark look and with your device set to dark, at desktop and mobile sizes, against the parts of WCAG 2.2 AA that tools can test.
- We also test reflow on narrow screens, keyboard use of our registration form, and focus outlines.
- New articles and other content changes are not checked automatically.
What we know is not perfect yet
- Our forms need JavaScript. The check that stops spam needs it. If it is switched off, or the form does not work for you, email hello@neuroaffirmrecruitment.com or call +44 (0)23 9206 5450 and we will take your details that way.
- Cloudflare's check. If Cloudflare is unsure you are a person, it may show a box to tick. That box is Cloudflare's, and we cannot change it. If it gets in your way, email or call us.
- The light and dark button needs JavaScript. Without it, the site follows your device's setting. Screen readers announce it as just "Dark" or "Light".
- Documents we may add, such as PDFs, are not checked automatically. Ask us for another format if one does not work for you.
If you find anything else that gets in your way, please tell us. We will fix it, or find another way to help you in the meantime.
